Ahoy matey’s! Northglenn’s Cardboard Regatta is back with the festival in 2021. This is your chance to get creative and build a boat out of only cardboard, duct tape and paint that is sea worthy. You can do it! We have seen some amazing boats and can’t wait to see yours. Designed boats will need to float across Webster Lake at EB Rains Park.
The cardboard boat regatta will be on Saturday, September 18. The festival opens at noon and boats need to be at the registration area by 12:40pm. Registration will go from 12 PM – 1:40 PM. Races will start at 2 PM. Boats will be on display and reviewed to make sure that they are following all the rules.
This year the registration fee is just $20 for all boats regardless of size or number of riders.
- Check in will begin at 12:00 PM so that we can review it for safety AND attendees of the event can see how pretty it is!
- Races begin at 2:00 PM and boats will race is order depending on size of boat from smallest to largest

The rules sheet includes information on supplies you can and cannot use. Anything BELOW the water must be cardboard, paint and duct tape only. Anything above the water can be other decorative items like rope, sail material, etc. to make your boat amazing.
